Minnesota Learning Loop — eMINTS Pilot Project
72 teachers and six days of multimedia training transform classrooms

Teams comprised of two teachers and their principal from TIES member districts participated in the eMINTS training, developed in Missouri. The goal of eMINTS is to help teachers transform their classrooms into places for learning where teachers and students use multimedia tools to better understand the world, work together and achieve at new and higher levels.

During 5005, 72 teachers participated in two face-to-face and four online training sessions and received a monthly visit from our eMINTS facilitators over a six month period. View videos of two classroom successes:

"The Physics of Musical Instruments" (QuickTime movie, 8,588 KB); Peter Bohacek, physics teacher, Henry Sibley High School, District 197
"Show Your Community to the World" (QuickTime movie, 6,248 KB); third grade, Gideon Pond Elementary School, Burnsville

The eMINTS Pilot Project is the professional development component of the Minnesota Learning Loop Grant Project. Minnesota Learning Loop is funded through the Enhancing Education through Technology (E2T2) Title IID funds distributed by the Minnesota Department of Education. The funding ended September 30, 2005.
